MCANIX

Contractor website examples you can actually inspect

These are four complete demo websites MCANIX built — a plumber, an auto shop, an HVAC company, and an electrical contractor. They are demonstration businesses, not real companies, and we say so on every one. Open them. View the source. Run Lighthouse yourself. The scores below were measured on the date shown.

Two of these are set outside Texas on purpose. Trueline is a Nashville plumber and Solstice is a Phoenix HVAC company. Cardinal is Austin and Meridian is Fort Worth. The system is not Texas-only — the market knowledge is. Every city is stated on its card, so you can check.

  • Every price is published, and the price is the hero — the service rates render larger than the headline above them, because the argument is that there is nothing to negotiate.
  • The after-hours promise is structural, not a footnote: same price on nights, weekends, and holidays, stated where the call button is.

  • The load-bearing element is a sample inspection report with per-line approve and decline — including the green lines that need nothing. A shop that shows what doesn't need work answers the trust question directly.
  • Booking outranks calling in the layout, because drivers compare before they commit.

  • The whole site runs two complete seasonal modes, resolved on the server from the real date — palette, headline, offer, and service order all flip. A static site argues the wrong season half the year.
  • The season toggle is exposed in the footer so a visitor can flip it and see the machinery.

  • The design is a working blueprint — drafting grid, dimension lines, circuit-symbol icons — and the configurator walks through a real NEC 220.82 load calculation, line by line, because showing the work is the proof of competence.
  • Instead of a season switch it has a storm surge mode, because electrical demand is event-driven, not seasonal.

And this site? mcanixsolutions.com measured 69 performance on — the production build that this overhaul replaces. The number stays on this page, dated, until the re-measure. That is the deal: scores are re-run, never deleted.

How to audit any agency's work in 10 minutes

  1. Open the site on your phone. Count the seconds before you could tap a phone number.
  2. Run it through PageSpeed Insights (pagespeed.web.dev). Note the mobile performance score — then run the agency's own site.
  3. View the page source. Look for a named author, visible dates, and sources behind any number.
  4. Find the contact form. Count the fields. More than five is a leak.
  5. Check the footer for who built it. If an agency won't sign its work, ask why.

Why we build demos instead of showing client screenshots

Because we won't show work we can't verify or that wasn't ours, and we won't invent client results. A demo you can open, inspect, and re-measure is stronger proof than a screenshot of anything. When we have client case studies with numbers the client approves, they'll appear here with dates.

RoofCalc Pro

The software proof: RoofCalc Pro is roofing estimation software we designed and built ourselves — the working answer to “can you actually build things?” See what we'd build for you.

Three commitments you can hold us to

  1. Scores on this page are re-measured on a stated cadence; the date is always shown; stale scores are re-run, not deleted.
  2. Every demo carries the “demonstration business” sentence — no implied real clients.
  3. Anyone can reproduce our numbers: the audit steps above are the exact steps we use.

What we don't do

We don't show client work we can't verify or that wasn't ours. When we have client case studies with numbers the client approves, they'll appear here with dates.
