Roofing marketing agency in Texas, built around storm season

MCANIX is a Texas roofing marketing agency. We build the system a roofing company needs before the hail hits: a fast website, storm-response pages, local SEO, and ads that follow the weather — with no long-term contract. Texas logged 1,588 hail events in 2024, more than any state. Your marketing should be ready for the next one.

Key facts

  • Texas recorded 1,588 hail events in 2024 — the most of any state (next: Kansas 767, Oklahoma 765). Method: we counted every record NOAA NCEI files as EVENT_TYPE “Hail” in its 2024 storm-events file and grouped them by state. No hail-size filter was applied, so a count restricted to large or “major” hail will be lower than ours. Download the file and re-run it. (source, checked 2026-08-28)
  • “Wind and hail have accounted for an average of 62% of homeowners losses since 2019,” and insurers paid $8.74 billion in Texas homeowners losses in 2025. (source, checked 2026-08-28)
  • “It's also illegal in Texas for a contractor to offer to waive, rebate, or absorb a property policyholder's deductible.” (source, checked 2026-08-28)
  • Roofing does not appear on TDLR's list of licensed programs, and RCAT states: “Anyone can call themselves a roofer in Texas.” (source, checked 2026-08-28)
  • The Texas state-record hailstone — 7.1 inches across — fell in Swisher County on June 2, 2024. (source, checked 2026-08-28)

How do roofing companies get more leads in Texas?

Most roofers rent their leads. Shared-lead vendors sell the same homeowner to three or four companies, and everyone races to the phone. The other way is to own the pipeline: your website, your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and pages that already rank when the storm hits. Owned leads call you, and only you.

The demand is real. Texas logged 1,588 hail events in 2024 — more than any other state — and the Texas Department of Insurance reports that wind and hail have driven an average of 62% of homeowners losses since 2019. Each claim is a roof someone has to inspect, repair, or replace. For the full playbook, read how to get more roofing leads.

What should roofing marketing include during storm season?

Three things, and all of them get built before the season. First: storm-response pages that are published, indexed, and ranking before the first stone falls. Second: ad campaigns staged and ready to switch on the day hail maps across your zip codes. Third: a review engine that keeps local proof stacking up while out-of-town crews knock doors with none.

Timing is the whole game. US 'roof repair' searches peaked at 165,000 a month in the spring 2025 storm season, against a 60,500 winter trough (our measured series, US-national). The spike is short. A roofer who starts building pages during it has already missed it.

What are roofers not allowed to say in Texas ads?

Texas law is blunt. TDI states: “It's also illegal in Texas for a contractor to offer to waive, rebate, or absorb a property policyholder's deductible.” (tdi.texas.gov). TDI also tells homeowners plainly: “Don't pay in full up front. And don't make your final payment until work is done.”

We treat those rules as a selling point. The state warns homeowners about storm scams, so a roofer whose pages quote the law — and follow it — earns trust the door-knockers can't. Any financing figure in an ad also gets checked against the Reg Z triggering terms at 12 CFR 1026.24(d) before it runs.

Does a roofing company need SEO or paid ads?

Both, in sequence. Ads capture the storm spike the week it happens. SEO and your Google Business Profile carry the other forty-six weeks: repairs, inspections, and replacements that come due on their own clock. One system, two speeds. See all MCANIX services for how the pieces fit together.

How much does roofing marketing cost?

It depends on your market and your mix, and anyone who quotes one number before seeing your rankings is guessing. For context: published prices across the agencies we measured in August 2026 run from a “$99 to start” teaser (measured record) to monthly SEO retainers from $2,800 (measured record). We quote after a free audit, and there is no long-term contract holding you in.

Why choose a Texas agency over a national one?

Because in this trade, the conditions are the marketing. Hail counts, TDI's storm-repair rules, claim seasons, and the fact that “anyone can call themselves a roofer in Texas” — an out-of-state agency can't write that with a straight face. Some competitors do write about Texas storms; a few even quote a hail count. What none of them cite is the state's own record — no TDI rule, no RCAT licensing line, no dataset you can re-run (32 sites measured August 2026, the 14 that rank best on our terms re-checked 2026-08-28; our measurement, method available on request). We also publish what we refuse to bill for.

Three commitments you can hold us to

  1. Every storm-response page we ship states the TDI deductible law and links tdi.texas.gov — before any CTA.
  2. Any financing figure in an ad we run is checked against the Reg Z triggering terms at 12 CFR 1026.24(d) and logged.
  3. Our Lighthouse scores are published with their measurement dates on our work page — re-run them yourself anytime.

What we don't do

We don't sell shared leads and we don't do door-knocking crews. If you want per-lead billing, 99 Calls publishes per-lead prices — that model just isn't ours.
